Funkytown Festival

Saturday, June 13, 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Main Street, Franklinton
This event will include live music from The Amazing Lounge Lizards, dancing, kids crafts, kids games, food trucks, craft vendors, a dance competition, a costume contest, and a BMX show on Main Street! DJ Q Focus will be performing as well! This years decade theme is the 90's with punk rock and skater vibes!

Franklinton Juneteenth & Al’Umma Art Walk Experience

Thursday, June 18, 5–8:30 p.m.
Porte Noire Gardens, 200 Korea St, Franklinton, NC

Hosted by Porte Noire Gardens, this two-part experience begins with the Al’Umma Art Walk, funded by the NC Arts Council Grassroots Grant, followed by a Juneteenth celebration featuring live music, speakers including Traci Butterfli, Terrance Perry, and Tykayla Livingston, along with food, vendors, and family activities that honor both history and future possibilities.

Creedmoor Juneteenth Celebration

This 4th Annual celebration features food, music, art, performances, and a powerful student art competition themed Freedom, Unity, and Community, with winners from K–5 recognized for their creative expressions of liberation and belonging.

Franklinton Independence Day Celebration

Franklinton Middle School
The event will include live music from Stonebrook Moonshine, food trucks, kids games, family fun, and of course fireworks which will start around 9:15 PM!

NC ZOXfest is a monthly creative gathering hosted by OX4D Music on the third Wednesday of each month. This interactive event centers on zine culture, offering guided learning, open discussion, and hands-on art creation. Participants explore storytelling, visual design, and independent publishing in a welcoming, community-focused setting. Whether you are new to zines or an experienced creator, ZOXfest provides a space to learn, share ideas, and connect with others who value creativity and independent voices. All experience levels are welcome.
